Tea Time by the Window

May is the month
Of sunshine and flowers
Birds in their nests
And one or two showers.

Let's stay away from the May showers and have a cozy and comforting cup of tea inside by the window.

This is a precious vintage Paragon teacup.  It's outer cup is white.

The inner cup is adorned with a pink rose and a floral pattern  of white, mauve and greenery.

The saucer is similar to the inner cup.

The handle , footed base and rims are trimmed with gold gilt.

Do you like mint green with pink?

Thank you for having Tea Time by the window!

Karen

  1. That teapot is so delicate and the teacup is too pretty for words. It must be old too if it's marked Paragon.

  2. Dear Karen,
That is indeed a very special teacup and it looks so perfectly beautiful with that Sadler teapot. I love the color and shape of that too. DId you find the plate at the same time as the cup? I can't tell if it is Paragon too. Yes, pink with mint is refreshing. That little Royal Tara set must go with everything. Sweet!

  5. Hello Karen,
Your tea by the window is lovely! What beautiful china, wonderful colors! I adore your tea pot! That is my fav color! I have never seen a pot that color of blue. And your tea cup too, is right up my alley! I love that color as well, and the gold filigree style detail. I have a cup quite similar and love it too. The little cream and sugar look great with the other pieces. I have a thing for cream and sugar sets too. But I don't often see them in shops.
Thank you for sharing your very pretty tea with us : )
    Hugs,
    Terri

  7. Oh my goodness, Karen! I LOVE your teapot and teacup! Robin egg blue/mint green and pink is my absolute favourite colour combination! That teapot is stunning and the teacup too is gorgeous. What a lovely tea time this makes in front of the window. So happy to have you share this with us at my party.
I had stopped by earlier and seen it but didn't leave a comment because I was busy getting my post ready for tomorrow's HOME party. Your post from last week is being featured and I just thought you would like to know. Have a beautiful day.

    Blessings,

  11. Oh Karen, those Paragon cups are my favorite. Actually I think I have the same one you do except in a dark cobalt blue. They just shine like little jewels.
They say it's supposed to be a bit sunnier by the end of the week but they lie like a rug, don't they? :) Here's hoping to some tea in the garden on the weekend.
