A Lazy Hazy Summer Tea

Welcome Dear Friends to
A Lazy Hazy Summer Tea

It is a little windy, cloudy and hazy at home today.  But we can't waste a summer day by having teatime inside can we? (And besides the restorations inside at the Castle are still not nearly completed ~ after six weeks!!!!).

Our Summer days are numbered now and there will be plenty of time for indoor teas in the fall and winter months.  (Oh no, is that fall leaves I see on the grass?)

I found the cream coloured wrought iron patio furniture this week at Salvation Army.  It was $34.99.  Since I had a $5.00 August calendar coupon it was just under $30.00.

To blend with the furniture I thought we should use a creamy teapot and cream and sugar from Ross.

This teacup was once my dear elderly mother's.  Don't you think its colours are appropriate for summer with its touch of sunny golden flowers and sky blue flowers?

The second darling teacup is one of my most treasured because it was a gift from my sweet high school friend, Debbie.   I love the pastel colours!

Last weekend I attended her beautiful daughter Emily's wedding.

Help yourself to some grapes, strawberries or rice crackers with garden brie cheese.

Hope the sun comes out in your part of town!

Take care,
Karen

  5. I like the cream coloured tea set from Ross, simple but elegant looking. The teacups are pretty too, and who wouldn't want to share their chair with a little angel.
