A Cottage Garden Tea

Welcome Friends

To  "A Cottage Garden Tea"!

A dear and sweet friend who is soon to be my son's future mother-in-law, Lanny  surprised me at Christmas with this special Royal Albert tea set.

 It is called "Cottage Garden".

This elegant pattern is in the Montrose Shape with red, pink and white roses surrounded with gold trim.

She knows how much I love china and pink roses!

Lanny got me the matching cream and sugar too!

The teapot is my sweet sister's.

It is a rich gold with pink roses similar to the colours in the Cottage Garden pattern. There are no markings on this pretty teapot.

Do you see the beautifully crocheted table covering with the rose
 pattern?

Yes, Lanny also crocheted this.  Isn't it amazing? It took her over six months.

Help yourself some leftover Christmas baking ~ a peppermint , tiger butter or butterscotch confetti square.

Lanny also bought me this gorgeous white orchid.

Thank you dear Lanny!  I love it all so much!

Have a wonderful week dear friends!
Karen

  3. How very charming and welcoming! I love the roses and the pinks, and the gold gives it all an even MORE elegant touch.

Everything is simply lovely, and I'm just dazzled by that gorgeous cloth, and the story behind it. Isn't it just marvelous to be such good friends with the person who will someday be Grandmother to your own Grandchildren? You're both blessed, already.

  7. Karen:
What a beautiful gifting. I have seen one of those teacups somewhere in my antiquing journeys and recognize it. Really a beautiful set. I can't even imagine working on a crochet project like that labor of love! Your table is so pretty.
