A Totem Pole Tea

Welcome Sweet Friends to
"A Totem Pole Tea"

Have I ever told you that we have a Totem Pole in the front yard of the cottage?

Today our Tea Time is set right in front of this historic monument.

http://indigenousfoundations.arts.ubc.ca/home/culture/totem-poles.html

My artistic daughter in law re-painted it in its bold colours of red, white and black.

As you can see, the sun is shining brightly behind our tea setting this early September morning.

Today I would like to share two vintage Alfred Meakin teacups Made in England.

It is appropriately entitled "Medieval Castles".

I love it's border of flowers on the saucer and especially those on the teacup handle.

The toile-like patterned teapot was a lucky find at Goodwill for $9.99.

It is Made in China.

Thank you for visiting me today for

"A Totem Pole Tea"!

  9. Hello Karen,

You have set another lovely and romantic tea. The colors are just beautiful and I am loving those pretty Alfred Meakin tea cups. And the tea cup is the perfect match.

I never knew that those poles are called totem poles. We learn something new everyday. That is pretty amazing.

    Have a great week.
