A Purple Christmas Tea

Welcome Festive Friends to

"A Purple Christmas Tea"

I do hope that you are all ready for Christmas.

Today I thought I would share unusual  Christmas colours ...... since my family room decor are tones of mauve and mint green I must make the best of it at Christmas time.

This is the room where the family spends most of their time relaxing and visiting and appropriately called our Family Room!

One of my son's girlfriends once said the room reminded her of a dollhouse.

It's a cozy room to enjoy our tea together.

I have decorated the mantel in purple and mauve ornaments.

Reindeer, Birds and Bobbles.

And the sideboard also has some Christmas sparkle too!

And the sideboard also has some Christmas sparkle too!

I did manage to even find a mini purple tree.

Let's sip our hot tea by the warm fire.

Whenever I admire my violet and lavender china I think of Judith at Lavender Cottage.

Speaking of Judith, I must link up the for first time at her Mosaic Mondays.

I am just learning to make collages.

Although the teacups are made by two different china companies, they are identical.

Millers was once an exclusive jewelery store in Vancouver, B.C. that also sold china. There was  one in my hometown of New Westminster too.

The Christmas balls were once my mother and father's.  I have seen similar brand new ones.  Don't they resemble disco balls?

My sweet daughter-in-law's Aunt Lulu made our delicious treats today.  Please enjoy a green tea and chocolate or oatmeal coconut cookie.  Thank you Dear Lulu!

Baking is such a lovely gift!

Thank you my Festive Friends for taking time out from your busy Christmas schedule to visit me today!

  10. This is so lovely and unique Karen. I would love to have tea with you in your beautiful "dollhouse." I noticed that thistle tablecloth right away, it's gorgeous. I have a couple thistle teacups it would look great with ;) Your purple tree is delightful! So fun.

  11. Your lavender and green is very pretty, Karen! The tea wares are lovely and your tea looks so cozy set out there by the fire. Your fireplace is almost identical to the one my son had in his last house. On our last visit out there, I enjoyed Christmas with them there by the fire and it holds such lovely memories for me. Thank you for joining me for tea during this very busy season and I wish you and your loved ones a Very Happy Christmas!

    Christmas blessings,
    Sandi

  19. Purple, because why not?! Your cups were probably still made by the same company. Often when items were made for a distributor, or store, the manufacturer did not put their stamp on the item. Also, companies where bought, sold, and shuffled like a deck of cards. Same company, different name. I am tempted to spend the rest of the morning researching them. I love this stuff. You have a lovely display, and will surely have a lovely Christmas!
