A Mismatched Tea by the Rhododendron Tree

Hello Dear Tea Friends!

Welcome to

"A Mismatched Tea by the Rhododendron Tree!"

I hope that you had a very special day with your loving family on Mother's Day!

Today I would like to share a mismatched teacup and saucer.

I just love the teacup's  rich tone of pink with the thick gold trim on the handle and pedestal base.

To make it even sweeter there is a dear rosebud on the inner cup.

I found this elegant saucer and thought they looked perfect together.

What do you think?

The other palest of pink teacup is a matching pair.

The inner cup has an exquisite border of gold designs.

It is marked Grosvenor Bone China England.

The teacups have similar shapes.

If you look closely on the teapot you can read the word "Romantic".

The large planter is Made in England.

Thank you for joining me today for

"A Mismatched Tea by the Rhododendron Tree!"

Wishing You A Belated Happy Mother's Day from My Dear 94 year old Mother and I!

See you next week!

Karen

  5. Karen:
I really prefer and adore the mismatched look. I think it is much more charming! What a beautiful place for a tea. We are still trying to dry out from days of rain, snow and hail. I can't wait to get in the garden!

  6. Your garden tea is exquisite! I think the teacup and saucer are the perfect match. The shades of pink are the same. Your second teacup is such a pale pink, almost white. It's a beauty. Not only do you have beautiful teaware, but your English planter is amazing! Great large floral design on it. I could sit in your garden all day.
Have a great tea week! ~Nora
