A Cozy Tea By the Settee

Hello Tea Friends!

Today it is raining outside and so it will be an inside tea time for us.

It's quite cozy here near the window on my dear mother's settee; where we can  listen to the pitter patter of the rain outside.

I recently ordered this Sadler cube rose and gold teapot on e-bay.  I have been wanting one like it for some time and the day it was posted on e-bay it said make an offer.  So I did.

I did get an amazing deal because it has gold missing on the spout.

 But I still love it.

I'm so sorry that I haven't been blogging as much lately.  I have been trying to clean out my basement and drastically parting with things.

We have a room that is filled with boxes from my 34 years of teaching along with some other things.  My children call it the hoarder room. Lol.
Do you have any rooms like that?

The pink teacup I am sharing today is an Aynsley.

Thank you for your visit today.
I hope you find a cozy spot to relax today!

Have a Wonderful Week!

  2. Dear Karen:
We did a lot of parting when we moved but also kept things from my store so we ended up with some new stuff so it about evened out. Now I have plenty but I am sure I will always find it hard to resist a bargain.....like your lovely teapot! Your sofa is lovely - very Victorian and I am so pleased you linked and shared.

  3. Love these PINK pieces. So pretty!

Yes, we have a room in the basement, the attic, and buildings with STUFF. HA!! We still have our sons toys from when they were older they played with.

  4. I love your cozy tea with your gorgeous settee! Your new teapot is so beautiful along with your teacup! They all go together so lovely! Having a spare room sounds great to me! Maybe you will be able to use it to store more teapots! I know I need more storage!

  5. Oh, Karen, what a scrumptious teapot! I love everything about it. You know, your pink Aynsley and my turquoise Aynsley would look awfully pretty together, wouldn't they? I too have lots of things I need to purge and I'm doing it, a little at a time. However, if I see something pretty that I can't live without, I treat myself. :-) Once a collector, always a collector! Beautiful post. Have a lovely weekend and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  6. Hi Karen, what a beautiful tea time. I love the teapot and that teacup is very beautiful. Nothing like a rainy day to smile while drinking your tea. I am very happy I stopped by. I participated in a teacup/tea mug exchange and received some lovely items. I am always looking to participate. So anytime anyone sees a tea cup exchange please let me know. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your new teapot. Thank you for sharing. Joyful Blessings, Anne

  7. Oh, Karen. That teapot is a real beauty. I love make an offer, and am almost always surprised how often they accept. Great find. You have so many lovely pieces.

I don't have a dedicated room, but we are on a constant mission to find new homes for much of our "excess". haha

Happy Pink Saturday. Thank you for your support, and for always making it special.♥

  8. Happy Thanksgiving, Karen!

Your new Sadler teapot is stunning! I like browsing on Ebay but the outrageously expensive international shipping fees have always prohibited me from making a purchase.

Good for you for purging the "hoarder's room". I tend to be a minimalist with my teawares being the exception. I'm sure my family and friends will stage an intervention if my tea collection crosses over to hoarder zone. HA!

I found the Dare Pumpkin Spice cookies at Food Basics. I also heard that Sobey's sells the Oreo Pumpkin cookies...

  12. Love your teacup and your new teapot! Lovely! Your setting looks so cozy! I had a room full of things from when I thought kindergarten, and it was hard to clean it out and get rid of things when we moved. Luckily, I could donate a lot to a couple of teachers, clinics and churches we knew, but just doing it was hard! Good for you! Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!
