Chintz for Tea Time

Hello Dear Tea Lovers,

Today I am in the mood for sharing some of my Chintz collection.

As you know I am not a big fan of yellow but I do love this pastel tone background with the pretty pink roses.

The teapot is Royal Winton's Welback which I found at a Goodwill a few years ago.

The teacup is a Royal Albert and the saucer which has the same pattern is Lord Nelson.

Sometimes you are lucky to find the matching cup or saucer and I think this one is close enough.

I found the The Royal Doulton figurine at a thrift store half price for $15.00 a few months ago.

The other pink and yellow rosy chintz teacup is Colclough.

The teapot is a Ridgway.

A Burgandy Tea

Welcome Sweet Tea Lovers,

Today I would like to share some mis-matched burgandy toned china pretties.

The flowered teacup is Tuscan "Provence".

The gold trimmed flowery patterned tea plates are Royal Albert's Canterbury.

The cream and sugar are Royal Albert's

"Lady Hamilton".

The larger teapot is Empire "York" Made in England.

The smaller teapot and muffin tray are both Foley "Broadway".

Although each pattern is a little different they still seem to blend together just as Transferware does.

A February Tea Time

Hello Sweet Tea Time Friends!

The snow is turning to rain and it's starting to feel like February weather once again.

This is where hubby and I relax in the evenings.

I thought that you may like to relax with me today and enjoy a February tea time.

This is the teacup and luncheon plate that completed my Royal Albert Teacup of the Month collection.

The sweet violet coloured pattern blends with my family room tones of mauve and cream.

The Ellgreave violet teapot was once my dear mother's.

Mr. Cottage and I are busy at the cottage ripping up the old flooring (30 years old) and making way for new updates (floors, doors, moulding - no longer brown - Yay!) Renovations are exhausting especially when you are a collector and everything needs to be packed carefully away.

We hoped to put some furniture outside but when we awakened this morning there was a new blanket of snow.

We borrowed my son's truck to take the old carpet to the dump. Hopefully we will make it there if the roads aren't too bad.

Are you anxious for spring too?

The china cabinet is empty. Pretties packed in boxes.

Beds are apart. Pictures and mirrors are off the wall and Furniture/lamps are everywhere!

Please tell me the construction and Mess, Mess, Mess will be worth it.

Since I'm hubby's right hand man...finding time to blog may be a challenge so I apologize that I may not be able to visit you promptly. I am a little overwhelmed.
