A Rosebud Tea

Welcome Friends
to
"A Rosebud Tea"!

Today I am sharing a rosebud Aynsley teacup that I found on Saturday at Salvation Army.

The tiny delicate rosebuds are on a mint  green background.

You see, I just had to get it because it matched my other Aynsley.
(Excuses, excuses)
It was $4.99.

I love the rosebuds on the inner cups.

As I am setting up our teatime Hubby says," Hurry, it's going to rain!'

Speaking of rain, yesterday my daughter and I had a Bridal Shower for Anna (my soon to be daughter - in - law).

We planned to have an outdoor garden party Bridal Shower but the weather did not cooperate so we celebrated indoors!

The treats are left overs from the shower.  Don't you love leftover sweets?

I must acknowledge Kitty at Kitty's Kozy Kitchen for sharing her Raspberry Crumble recipe.  My daughter and I had such fun making it together.  Thank you Kitty!  They really are delicious and not too sweet.

You can find her recipe here

Some pics from the Bridal Shower:

Well, it's not raining yet!

As long as it's sunny on June the 22nd,

The Wedding Day.

Thank you for joining me today for "A Rosebud Tea!"

Hope your week is "rosy"!

A Windy Tea

Welcome Sweet Friends to

"A Windy Tea".

The sun at the cottage is inconsistent today; moving out from behind the clouds occasionally .... and the wind is blistery.   But the weather won't keep us from having an outdoor tea time.

Can you see that the pink shawl is blowing in the wind?

Please put it around your shoulders if you are chilly.

The teapot today for our windy tea is an Arthur Wood.

I just love porcelain with painted pink roses and greenery!

This Crown Dorset china teacup resembles the flower pattern in the teapot.

This Royal Albert teacup has pretty pink budding roses.

Isn't there just something so cozy about white wicker patio furniture?

And a warm cup of tea on a windy day is so calming and cozy too.

Thank you for joining me today for

"A Windy Tea!"

Have a wonderful week!

Karen

My First Tea in the Garden in 2014!

Welcome to

"My First Tea in the Garden in 2014!"

The sun is just starting to appear this morning and although the backyard is in shade I have set our First Tea in the Garden.  But I am so pleased that there is no rain.

Today I am using one of my favourite teapots...

Royal Albert's American Beauty.

I found these vintage sponged dark pink Royal Victoria Wade cups and saucers ~   3 sets for $5.99 at Value Village!

As I take the pics I realize that two of the cups are  a little different.  One has a gold border on the inner cup and one is plain.

There is a little crazing on one of the inner cups but this makes me believe that it has been well loved.

At first sight I thought they were Royal Winton and would match my cream and sugar that I have had forever.

I had such fun last week at Ikea.  I didn't know that I would find such pretty new things.

A white decorative tray,

rose serviettes

and plant pots in pretty pastel shades and all reasonably priced!

Looking so forward to many more
Teas in the Garden this spring, summer and early fall!

Colours at the Cottage

Hello Sweet Friends,

Welcome to "Colours at the Cottage".

Spring flowers are in bloom at the cottage and I wanted to share some of my favourite colours with you.

Lilacs in deep purple

and mauve.

Some cut yellow wild flowers,

Pink Azaleas starting to bloom,

And one

Lonesome pale pink tulip in the garden.

I love the colours of spring, don't you?

This weekend I will be visiting
