A Sunny September Tea Time

Welcome Dear Friends to

"A Sunny September Tea Time"

Sunny  September is here and I am welcoming the autumn colours approaching !

I bought these pretty dahlias on Birch Bay-Lynden Road - five flowers for a dollar.

The teacup that I am sharing today is a Royal Crown Derby Made in England.

This plain white teacup with it's simple gold trim matches perfectly with all of my Royal Albert Val D'or China pieces.

I found this vintage collectible treasure at the Penny Lane  Antique shop in Bellingham.

She matches perfectly with the decor at the cottage.

This Vintage Lady Head Vase is in a Lewis Weil style and is  4.5" tall. She has beautiful gold accents with a turquoise dress and pink rose flowers.

Head vases generally show a woman from the shoulders up.  They were used by florists in the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's. They were made in many sizes and sometimes came decorated with faux  jewelry and/or other fun accessories. They were often modeled after famous women and glamourous women, a style sometimes referred to as "Glamour Girl". These vases were manufactured in the U.S.A.  and Japan.  Manufacturers and Artists names such as Nichols, Copley, Weil, Inarco, Ceramic Art Studios,  Napco, Rubens, Enesco, U.S.A. Glamour Girls and more (ebay source)

Don't you think Vintage Lady Head Vases may be a nice new collection to start?

Or is one enough?

Would you like some Orange Cream Sherbet with a piece of Almond poppyseed cake?  It tastes so yummy as it starts to melt.

Today I thought I would use my Val D'or Coffee pot for tea.

Thank you for joining me this September morning for

A Sunny  September Tea Time

Hope your September is Sunny!

An End of August Tea Time

Welcome Sweet Friends to

"An End of August Tea Time"

Summer is quickly coming to an end and I am already seeing some fall leaves on the ground.

Every spring I like to create and plant my own baskets with my favourite coloured flowers. Usually (of course) I choose ones with various shades of pink but sometimes I am surprised by the colours that emerge.

My petunias have managed to survive the warm summer this year.

The geraniums, alyssum and begonia bedding plants have also thrived this year.

The flourishing white orchid was a gift from Anna's mother Lanny.  Usually I don't have much success with orchids but this one has found a happy home by the light of the front door.

Usually I don't have much success with orchids but this one has found a happy home by the light of the front door.

Today I am sharing a teacup that is very special to me which I received as a gift in June.  My daughter-in-law's sweet aunt Lulu gifted me with this gorgeous turquoise beauty!

Lulu lives in California and I understand that there are wonderful shops there.  How I would love to travel to California again.

Such a stunning gold rimmed scalloped edge on the cup and saucer!

Love the pink roses and greenery on the inner cup and saucer!

Do you see the authentic dragon pattern?

(I only just noticed it after taking the pic.)

Perhaps Ruth  from Antiques and Teacups

  Ruth~ http://www.antiquesandteacups.info/
knows the history and background regarding the dragon pattern.

This rare and elegant vintage collectible is Royal Stafford Bone China Made in England from approximately the 1950's.

It has a delicate and scalloped wide gold  pedestal base.

Isn't it such a dainty handle too?

I thought an English muffin with raspberry jam might be tasty with your tea.

Thank you dear and kind Lulu and Lanny for the generous gifts.  You do know exactly what I love and treasure!

Thank you also to you sweet  friends for taking the time to visit me today for

"An End of August Tea Time!"

I do hope you all can enjoy the end of August!

Happy Teacup Tuesday!

Happy Teacup Tuesday!

(A little different this week).

Hello Teacup Lovers!

My wonderful son, Bradley and dear daughter-in-law, Anna,  recently bought this cute little teacup
pomeranian puppy ~

Minnie!

They were originally wanting a very large dog but I am so pleased that they decided on this sweet tiny one. Yes, tiny enough to fit in a teacup!

Minnie is so much like a newborn baby ~

she doesn't sleep through the night and she loves to play with toys, be cuddled and rocked to sleep.

Minnie has a sister Love Bird named "Pretty".

Pretty actually scared Minnie right off the bed during this video.

Minnie is so lucky to have two other playmates ~ Anna's mom's doggies: Maya and Misty.

Thank you for joining me for a little different

Happy Teacup Tuesday!

Have a wonderful week!
