Welcome Spring!

Welcome Friends
And
Welcome Spring!

Isn't yellow a cheery and bright colour to welcome the first week of spring?

Spring is my second favourite season of the year!

The teapots today are all Sadlers.

I wish I had some daffodils in bloom for our table today.

My dear friend Jan gifted me with her aunt's precious teacups!

She is a very special friend who knows exactly what I love!

I do hope that you are enjoying spring too!

See you next time!

Busy March

Hello Sweet Tea Lovers!

I've been busy this week but anxious to share my latest project with you.

Last year we found 4 cane back chairs at Re-Store.  They were $25 each but not in perfect condition.

My son accidentally put his knee through one chair and another was ripped.

Handyman Hubby measured and creatively made a seat to fit in the damaged parts.

After gluing and and repairing the painting began.

I have been a long time fan of cane back chairs.

Mr. Cottage left me to the painting while he worked on his car.

I especially loved the French Provinical dainty shaped legs on these chairs.  (But too fragile for my heavy hubby. Lol.)

I started painting inside but he moved me outside when the sunshine appeared. (Much easier to see the many spots I'd missed.)

It took me all day to paint the four chairs.

Before

After

What do you think?  Do you like the result?
And do you have any projects on the go?

It's definitely time for a well-deserved cup of tea.

Yummy cookies with my tea.  Thank you my dear friend Debbie!

Thank you for your visit today!

See you soon!
Karen

Royal Albert Enchantment

Welcome Teacup Lovers!

Did you know that I not only treasure Sadlers and pink pretties but I also cherish all  Royal Albert patterns and pretty blues?

When hubby and I go thrifting I always try to look for any Royal Albert pieces to add to my collections.

My Enchantment collection started with just the sugar bowl.

Then I found an odd cup and later bought a saucer at Value Village.

I love it's lacy white flowers on the turquoise/teal blue background.  In the centre is  a multicolour floral spray and it is trimmed with a gold scalloped edge.

One day I came across 5 large dinner plates and cups and saucers in an antique store.

I later found 4 more place settings in a Salvation Army.  That made 9 dinner plates.

The last purchase was the matching teapot.

So don't give up.  Eventually you will find the matching pieces to your favourite and desired dinner pattern.

Good Luck in your search!

Have a Wonderful Week!

Karen

A New Treasure!

Hello Dear Tea Friends!

Today I wanted to share
A New Treasure!

My generous hubby and sis gifted me with some money for my birthday and told me to buy something I wanted.

What would you choose?

Well, my daughter-in-law knew exactly what I wanted ~ a rosebud Sadler cube and she found this one on Etsy.

She negotiated with the kind seller at Hannah's Vintage Heaven in the UK until it was affordable for me and I'm so pleased to say it arrived in one week!  I absolutely LOVE it!  ๐Ÿ’–

Pink and Rosebuds! My fav!

Another favourite Sadler!

It's not a full-size but my search is over.

What are you searching for?

The teacups today are both Paragon.

Pink and mint green blend nicely together.

Thank you for your visit today!

And Thank You Hannah!
It's a real treasure!

See you next time!
Karen
