Lilacs for An Outdoor Tea Time

Welcome Dear Tea Friends to

"Lilacs for An Outdoor Tea Time!"

Bernideen said that her first "Tea in the Garden" for 2016 would be this Friday and I was worried that our weather may not cooperate.
blog.bernideens.com

But I was pleasantly surprised and although the day is windy, the sun is out... so I won't complain.

(Do see the lace tablecloth blowing in the wind?)

I  wish that you could smell the fragrant lilacs.

I love the embossed orange texture on the middle of the mauve flowers of this teacup.

The saucer even has a  flower shape too.

The other teacup is a Hammersley.

When I found the metal ice cream chairs at Goodwill for $10 each last fall  they were  green but I thought white may look prettier for our outdoor tea times

Do you enjoy having a painting project too?

Don't you love being outdoors again?

Thank you for visiting me today for an early outdoor tea time!

And Thank You Bernideen for planning our yearly "Tea in the Garden!"

Have a Wonderful Weekend My Dear Friends!

  2. Oh my goodness, your tea party is just lovely! I love the white table and chairs and the beautiful lace tablecloth. The china is perfection with the lilacs. I'm sure the lilacs have perfumed the air and it smells a little like heaven. I would love to join you there and sip tea and have a chat and wouldn't that be grand!

  11. Oh my, how I would love to smell those lilacs! This is such a pretty setting for your lovely china. Your Hammersley teacup is such a sweet shape, Karen. No tea in the garden here yet because it's still too cold. But at least we're getting some sunny days. Thank you for sharing with us and Happy May, my friend!

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  13. Thank you for sharing the lovely lilacs, Karen. I saw a "Victorian Violets" teapot at an antique store last month, but passed because it wasn't in good shape.

  14. Such an ideal garden setting! Your lilacs are so full and a much darker shade of purple than mine. So pretty! Don't you just love their fragrance? Smart move painting the chairs white. It makes the colors of your flowers really pop. Rain is expected for the next two days so no garden teas for me. I'll just enjoy yours.

  15. Oh Karen, I wish I could smell your lilacs, too. I'm trying to breathe in from the computer screen, but it's not working!!! I think your Hammersley teacup is my favorite at your pretty table today, but I'd take any to have the chance to sit a spell with you in your pretty setting. What a deal on your chairs and they look so pretty in white.
    Happy Mother's Day, sweet friend!
