Dainty Blue for Tea

Hello Sweet Tea Friends!

Welcome to

"Dainty Blue for Tea!"

It's a lovely day for an outdoor tea time.

Today I am sharing some Shelley and Royal Albert Dainty Blue china pattern pieces.

This teacup and saucer are a matching
Royal Albert Dainty Blue pattern.

I recently found the Shelley Dainty Blue tea plates at Salvation Army for $1.99 each.

The two patterns are almost identical except that the Royal Albert is darker in colour.

Also, the shape of the saucers is different.  The saucer on the right is a Shelley - love it's shape.  I have matched it with the Royal Albert teacup.

Mixing and matching is such fun!

The smaller teapot is Made in Japan and the taller coffee pot marked Bayerisch Blau is
Made in Bavaria.

The large cake plate and creamer are both Shelley.

Have you heard  the birds chirping on these spring mornings? It's such a beautiful sound!

Thank you for stopping by for Tea Time!

Have a Wonderful Week Dear Friends!

See you next time!
Karen

  3. You always find the best treasures, Karen! Those two teacups are so similar and I love the dainty blue flowers and how they border inside and outside of the teacup. Your other pieces look so pretty with your teatime.

  8. Oh, Karen, what a beautiful setting for your tea table! The blue and white is stunning. The patterns are so very similar that one would have to really look to notice the difference. Love your lacy tablecloth! Thanks for sharing and don't forget to stop by and link up. Have a lovely day, dear Karen. I wish some of your warm weather would come our way. It's warm everywhere in Canada except here in the Maritimes.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  9. How pretty!
My mother's best china was Shelley's Dainty Blue. I feel nostalgic just thinking about it.
