A Secret Garden Tea

Welcome Dear Friends to

"A Secret Garden Tea"!

Today my post takes place at a darling Tea House
"Secret Garden Tea Company".

My son is getting married on June the 22nd this year and my dear daughter is the Maid of Honour (second on left).  She thought a tea would be appropriate for her soon to be wonderful sister-in-  law and beautiful Bride-to-Be (in the middle).  The other beautiful gals are the bridesmaids!

So on Saturday we drove to the Kerrisdale area of downtown Vancouver.

This gorgeous flower arrangement greeted us at the door.

I couldn't have been more pleased with this idea for the plans with the Bachelorette celebrations.  I was overjoyed that they wanted me and the bride's mother to attend.

Anna's mom was so kind to snap one of me too.

The teacups were a sparkling white with a trim of gold.

Every guest had their own choice of tea and there really was an amazing variety!  Each tea was presented in a small teapot with a tea cozy that kept the tea nice and hot.

The food was served on a three tiered plate.  With sandwiches on the bottom, loaf and scones with jam and whipped butter in the middle and the yummy sweets on top.

There were dainty sandwiches to start.
Pinwheel egg, shrimp on tiny buns and wee croissants.  So delicious.

The middle layer was the scones, loaf and jam.

Lemon tarts, peanut butter treats and almond pastries were amongst the sweets on top.

Plenty of pretty teacups and teapots covered the shelves.

The store inside had vintage teacups, teapots, lovely tea cozies and of course delicious sweets and a large variety of teas  for sale as well.

I must tell you that while we were there a famous celebrity and actress Grace Park from the popular T.V. show Hawaii 5-0 was there with her baby boy.  She was so beautiful!  I never took a pic because we didn't want to invade her privacy while she was reuniting for tea with her friends and their babes.  It certainly added to our excitement.  I found this pic of her online.
