Heaven Has a New Angel

With sadness I must tell you....

My Dear and Sweet Mother went to Heaven on Sunday, June 19th.

Heaven now has a new angel!

I will be taking a blogging break for a week or so.
I may be a little late to respond to your comments. So sorry.

A June Tea in the Garden

Hello My Special Tea Time Friends!

Today will be a short June Tea in the Garden. It is 7:00 p.m. and I just got home from the care home.

My dear 95 year old mother has been very ill with a skin infection for 8 days and is now in palliative care.

My sister and I have been sitting at her bedside every day and we pray that her suffering will soon end. She had a stroke last year and has gradually declined and just recently stopped eating. Isn't it sad to get old?

I thought it appropriate to share with you one of my mother's favourite pink needlepoint chairs.

Sweet Sis wanted me to have it (because as you know I LOVE Pink!)and it is another of my treasured antiques. Isn't the colour such a very bright hot pink?

This month is my sister's birthday and since she is so special I had to have a Royal Albert June Trio to display and celebrate her birth month.

It usually sits on the windowsill in my kitchen throughout the month so that I can admire it daily.... but today it is going outside for our garden tea.

Pink Roses on china ~ such a delight!

The miniature green teapot is a Royal Winton that I found at our local Consign-It shop. Do you like the colour?

That is an amazing accomplishment and it is such fun for bloggers like me to take part.

The vintage teacups that I would like to share with you are Colclough bone china, Made in England.

Don't they remind you of a cottage garden party?

The teacup shapes are a little different.

The collectible Sadler teapots, cream and sugar and tea plate also feature a crinoline lady in a flower garden.

I found this pretty pink rosed 12 inch pitcher online for $7.99. Perfect for my pink and white garden roses.

Perhaps you would like some pink lemonade instead of hot tea today.

For a light and tasty snack on our warm outdoor tea time I have made some bite size Vegetable and Cream Cheese Sandwiches with broccoli, cucumber, carrots and celery.
