A September Tea in the Garden

Hello Sweet Tea Friends

I'm sorry I missed you this week.  Hubby and I went to Victoria and visited many lovely thrift stores.

Have you ever been to Victoria B.C.?  I know that Ruth at Antiques and Teacups has.  You really must go because it has many shops with our favourite things - teacups!

I found this Royal Albert September teacup Michaelmass Daisy at my now favourite  store "Good Things" on Oak Bay Blvd in Victoria.  I have almost every month now.  (Only February is on the treasure hunting list.)

The sun is out today but I am not sure how many outdoor teatimes we have left. Sadly my summer flowers are all looking a little dull and wilted.

The blue teapot is a Sadler.

The pretty blue vase was once my dear mother's.

The antique blue velvet chair was also mom's.  It got damaged at the home but I managed to glue the three pieces back together but hubby won't be allowed to sit on it.  Lol.

Thank you for your visit today.

Enjoy Sunny September!

Karen

  1. Dear Karen:
I am recouping with my back so can't sit long but wanted to see your pretty posting with "blue" emphasis and blue it is. That is a lovely chair. We had to "reglue, etc" several pieces after moving and like my husband said some are a little more "shabby chic" than before. I love your tea wares as well and a lovely table!

  2. Hi Karen, I love your blue chair! So beautiful! I have only three RA teacups, may, september, and october. I do have the teapot to match so I should do a post with it soon! Your Sadler teapot matches so nicely, I love the shape! Let's hope we can have a few more outdoor tea's before the weather gets cold! I always enjoy visiting!
    Hugs, Nancy

  5. Your pretty blue velvet chair was the first thing that caught my eye. Love it! September is my mom's birth month and a family friend gifted her the RA September teacup years ago. I'd love to add the January (my birth month) teacup to my collection. Victoria is on my bucket list. It seems like the tea capital of Canada!

  8. Nice to see your blue tea table, Karen. Love RA September's pattern. I haven't been to Victoria but my son has been there working the last few weeks. Wish I could get there. I would get him to take me shopping on Oak Bay Blvd. ;-) The blue chair is lovely and I'm so glad you were able to glue it back together. Thank you for sharing with us and have a lovely week, my friend.

    Blessings,
    Sandi
