Birthday Celebrations and Getting Ready for Christmas

Season's Greetings Sweet Tea Friends!

Do you have any December birthdays in your family?

This week we celebrated my hubby's birthday and last week it was my daughter's.

Hubby requested Mikasa's April Rose as the dinner set of his choice for his family party.

This pattern has a soft pink single rose with greenery on a white background with embossed trim .

It is such a challenge to find discontinued teapots but after years of searching I eventually found the teapot and many other pieces at "Champagne Taste" ~ a consignment store in New Westminster, B.C.

(Sorry about the dark pics as I took them very late in the day).

(After years of collecting I now have over 25 place settings in Mikasa's April Rose.)

My precious grand daughter and grandson enjoyed taking part in the celebration!  My grand daughter later decided to dress up like Belle from Beauty and the Beast.  (As a Nana it's essential to have a supply of princess dresses.  Lol.!)

This year I followed my tradition and set up the Christmas tree with white beads, pink, gold  and crystal decorations and some orphaned teacups, of course.

My grand daughter made my hubby and I the sweet crafty Christmas tree ornaments with the googly eyes.

The little Christmas Village is arranged on the sideboard in the dining room.

Some Royal Albert Poinsettia china in the kitchen

And a small pink tree in the kitchen hallway.

I have a few more gifts to purchase but I suppose I'm nearly ready for Christmas.

What about you?

Is your list nearly complete?

Thank you for your visit today!

Christmas Blessings!

Getting Ready for Christmas at the Cottage

Happy December Sweet Tea Friends!

I've been busy
Getting the Cottage Ready for Christmas!

I've also been dogsitting my grand puppies.

My son and daughter-in-law and my grandchildren are in Disneyland so Minnie is staying with us.

This is my daughter's dog Brody.

Do you find December the busiest time of the year?

It's so nice to have a relaxing break and have a cup of tea and goodies.

I made a banana bread and my favourite Christmas bought treat is Starbuck's Cranberry Bliss.

The teapot is an Arthur Wood and the teacups are both Royal Albert.

Do you decorate your
mantel too?

We have a small
tree at the cottage.

With some pretty miniature tea decorations,

of course.

Hope you can take time out today from your busy December schedule for a relaxing cup of tea.

Christmas Blessings!

Karen

Sadler Collection for Tea Time

Hello  Sweet Tea Friends

I hope all of you are well.

I've been taking a little blogging break. Please forgive me for not replying to your comments.

Today hubby is out and I have the opportunity to  share my blue Sadlers with you (and some others).

I find it so relaxing to play with my pretties.

I used to be a huge fan of blue china, but pink is my go to colour now. What colour of china do you prefer?

(Do you see the photograph of my darling grand daughter on the left wall?  💕💕

It was a gift from my dear Daughter-In-Law.)

I think my blue Sadler teapot collection is really complete now.

Although I still haven't completed my pink Sadler teapot collection yet.  Lol.

The cabinet just looks full.  There's really much more room for a few more.  Hee hee!  A closer look inside.....

(Sorry about the glare.)

Now back to the blue tea time....

This pretty blue teacup with pink and white roses is a Foley.

This blue Royal Grafton has a wide trim of  rich gold on the inner cup.

November 11th is Remembrance Day in Canada.
