Decorating for Fall

Harvest Greetings Tea Friends!

Have you been busy adding a touch of fall to your home?

This weekend we will be celebrating Thanksgiving in Canada.

The tea plate and bowl are Johnson Brother's Autumn Monarch.

I decided to enjoy the Chinese Lanterns indoors.

I'm also enjoying the change from my red and white transferware to the brownish tones of Johnson Brother's Friendly Village.

I plan to leave the Friendly Village china on the shelf and sideboard until the American Thanksgiving day and then return to my red and white for Christmas.

I ordered this  Sadler cube teapot with a dear country scene  for just $6.49!  I thought it would blend with all of my transferware.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

Praying for all of the victims and families of the Las Vegas tragedy.

Karen

  2. Happy Thanksgiving weekend, Karen! I love FV and your buffet looks wonderful. Those Chinese lanterns are gorgeous and add such a lovely brightness to the table. I love your pumpkin teapot! It's nice to have some novelty teapots for special occasions. I don't normally do much Autumn decorating. My thing is really Christmas although I do try to get a few pumpkins sitting around and I did get the front step decorated a bit this year. Have a lovely holiday with your loved ones!

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  7. Happy Thanksgiving, Karen! Your turkey stuffed animal made me smile. I liked the pop of orange colour in your pretty fall display. I've always been a fan of the Friendly Village pattern. Your new Sadler cube teapot is another great score!

  8. First of all Karen, I love your Chinese Lanterns. I planted seeds but I think I thought the little plants were weeds and pulled them out. Not good. Your's look wonderful and so fresh. Your buffet and shelf presentation is so lovely. I love fall too! Thank you for sharing and welcoming us into your lovely dining area.
