Toast and Tea

Hello Lovely Teacup Friends

Welcome to

"Toast and Tea!"

Do you know how much I love pink roses and greenery?  (Pink tulips too)!

Well... two weeks ago newly retired hubby and I stopped at Goodwill and I found some new treasures.

Six pretty teacups.  They were $3.99 each.

Two of the six had a different shape but I think that makes the set more interesting.

They are stamped Duchess Fine Bone China
Made in England.

The Arthur Wood teapot was in the showcase and had  a similar pattern.  It was $12.99.

So a teapot and six teacups for $37.00.

Sweet sis gifted this dear Royal Albert cream and sugar set to me. It is called "Bridesmaid Roses."

Don't you love toast and tea?

With a little strawberry jam?

My dear friend, Kelly gave me with the gorgeous pink tulips when I became a grandmother last week.

Tulips make me so eager for spring.

Thank you for visiting today for

"Toast and Tea."

Happy Tea Day!

Karen

  1. Karen:
I am amazed at the bargains you find at your Goodwill. Here, they overprice anything like this and put it in a special case. I love "Roses and Ivy" as it was one of the first patterns I carried many years ago and it will always be a favorite of many! Your table looks delightful and everything blends together so well! Lovely!

  9. Very pretty china and such a good buy! Tea pots like that are hard to find for such a cheap price! That was a really good buy! And I prefer English china myself. That was my breakfast this morning -- toast and tea!

  10. The cream and sugar set from your sister is sweet and your thrift finds are awesome. I have been meaning to do a tea and toast post myself, this combination is a my go-to when ill, don't feel like having a heavy supper or just the thing for my afternoon tea.
