Happy Summer Dear Friends,
I am once again taking advantage of our beautiful summer weather and would like to invite you to the Cottage Garden for
"A Relaxing Summer Tea."
Summer is my favourite season. Do you feel that Autumn is just around the corner?
So to celebrate our remaining summer days I am setting up our sunny tea time in the front garden once again.
I am using two of my special chairs. I have covered them with my ruffled chair covers from the Ticking & Toile online shop. I found the chairs at Home Sense over a year ago.
I discovered the table at Salvation Army a few months ago. Do you see the swan-like legs?
I am also using two different teacups.
The first I found in a little antique store in Snohomish for $6.00.
It was love at first sight!
The background on the inner cup and outer saucer is a gray/blue surrounded by a pattern of daisies and roses.
The shape of the cup is so pretty.
The second is very different from the first.
It is has a background of pink covered with a flowered chintz pattern.
I found this sweet cup at a little garage sale in Lynden at the beginning of the summer. It was $3.00.
The teapot you have seen before.
I bought the tiny Wedgewood Vase at Goodwill for 99 cents.
Would you like a cookie with your cup of tea?
Last year I bought two hydrangeas and they didn't survive the winter months.....I was very upset and decided to plant two more. If at first you don't succeed ~ try, try again, right?
Wish me luck on these.

I love each piece of china - loving the vase! The teapot is really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat swan table is amazing - what a find! Good luck with the hydrangeas. I've had great luck with them and a few dismal failures, too. They're very finicky! -- Jan
