The teacup that I am sharing today is a Royal Crown Derby Made in England.
This plain white teacup with it's simple gold trim matches perfectly with all of my Royal Albert Val D'or China pieces.
I found this vintage collectible treasure at the Penny Lane Antique shop in Bellingham.
She matches perfectly with the decor at the cottage.
This Vintage Lady Head Vase is in a Lewis Weil style and is 4.5" tall. She has beautiful gold accents with a turquoise dress and pink rose flowers.
Head vases generally show a woman from the shoulders up. They were used by florists in the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's. They were made in many sizes and sometimes came decorated with faux jewelry and/or other fun accessories. They were often modeled after famous women and glamourous women, a style sometimes referred to as "Glamour Girl". These vases were manufactured in the U.S.A. and Japan. Manufacturers and Artists names such as Nichols, Copley, Weil, Inarco, Ceramic Art Studios, Napco, Rubens, Enesco, U.S.A. Glamour Girls and more (ebay source)
Don't you think Vintage Lady Head Vases may be a nice new collection to start?
Or is one enough?
Or is one enough?
Would you like some Orange Cream Sherbet with a piece of Almond poppyseed cake? It tastes so yummy as it starts to melt.
Today I thought I would use my Val D'or Coffee pot for tea.
Thank you for joining me this September morning for
A Sunny September Tea Time
Hope your September is Sunny!
