A Crinoline Lady Tea

Welcome My Dear Tea Friends to

"A Crinoline Lady Tea!"

As you know I have been on the search for Sadler teapots and was I overjoyed to find this little miniature Crinoline Lady Sadler at Value Village this week.

I brought it to the cottage because I thought that it would look pretty with

my Antique Crinoline Lady Garden Series Colclough teacup  and .....

my Empire England Crinoline Lady
 cream and sugar there.

Do you ever wish that crinolines  would come back in style so that you  could wear such a lovely dress as these ladies are?

Thank you for stopping by the cottage for

"A Crinoline Lady Tea!"

See you again soon sweet tea friends!

Have a Wonderful Week!

Karen

  1. Hi Karen,
My goodness, what a fortuitous find! How lovely to be able to add to your crinoline lady pieces! The Sadler couldn't be more perfect. And yes, I often dream of wearing those splendid old frocks and carrying a parasol. They looked like such ladies in those days, didn't they? Although we know they weren't all proper ladies after all. Still, they looked so elegant. Love your china and how fun to set your table with them. Thank you for sharing and coming for tea. Have a lovely week, my friend.

    Autumn blessings,
    Sandi

  2. Now isn't that just pure fun Karen! I was very tempted to collect the Crinoline Lady items (I do have the Daintee Lady teapot) but made myself just sell them at my shop. You know I already have "enough" other kinds but I do adore them all! Your table looks wonderful and I am convinced you find the best prices of anyone I know!

  3. Oh, Karen, how lovely - your crinoline ladies collection is wonderful! I have worn costumes like that in the past and as beautiful as I felt I would never give up the comfort of denium pants, haha. : - )

Happy tea sipping to you, have a wonderful week. Hugs.

  8. What a lucky find with your pretty Sadler teapot, Karen! It makes for such a feminine tea service with teacup and cream and sugar.
Yes, I'd love to wear one of those pretty dresses with a crinoline. I think I was born in the wrong era!

  9. What a lovely collection, Karen! So glad you found the Sadler teapot at VV! I think crinoline might be making a comeback because I've seen some crinoline dresses at the stores (but not as pouffy as the ones in your teawares).

  11. A wonderful find at a thrift store. Your set is so feminine and dainty. Sadler teapots are a favorite of many collectors. I have to ponder on wearing such a large dress. For sure, I would love to stroll through the garden.

  12. I agree with Bernideen -- you find the best deals! The teapot, cup, sugar and creamer are all delightful. I love the pattern, so pretty and feminine. And yes, would love to wear the long old fashioned dresses, too! So elegant and pretty. Have a good week Karen. xo Deborah

  13. Patience and determination pay off. What a great tea. What great finds. Manyyyyyyyyyyyy years ago my 1st H and I belonged to a Civil War Re-enactment group and I got to wear a crinoline dress. It did require a certain gracefulness of movement.
