Have you ever found some pretty china at a thrift store that you immediately love?
A few weeks ago I walked into Salvation Army and saw this pretty blue Vintage Royal Albert patterned china entitled "Prudence." I believe it is from the 1920's.
There were more teacups priced at $4.99 each but I didn't want to be too extravagant so I purchased just two of the collectible cups and saucers with matching tea plates.
The tea plates and creamer were $1.99 each. The cake plate $3.99.
My sweet sis had two luncheon plates that she surprised me with.
I am so attracted to this delicate and beautiful pattern with its pastel colours and tiny polka dots. This particular Prudence pattern has flowers on the outer cup and a lacy border on the inner cup. It is in the Avon shape.
I am trying not to accumulate too much china but what can I say? How can one pass up a great deal on such pretty blue china pieces?
Do you agree?
Today is Easter Sunday and I am once again early to rise .
These are the miniature pink roses I bought for my Easter Table.
Later I will plant them outside.
I am enjoying the peace and quiet because there will be nine of us for turkey dinner tonight.
I wanted to share my little Easter Angel.
Do you remember when Easter used to be in April?
Most of my teapots are
pink but these are my two favourite pastel blue ones. The one on the left is a Sadler and the one on the right is a Hall.
Did you know that there is also a "pink" Prudence pattern?
Sadly, I have only this creamer in the pretty pink pattern.
This is our Easter Table ready for tonight's celebration that Jesus Christ is risen today.
The china is Mikasa's "April Rose."
I can't wait to see my darling grand daughter sitting in her high chair at the table tonight.
Easter Blessings Dear Friends!
See you next week!
