Hello Dear Tea Friends!
I was very excited when driving down to the cottage today because a new tea set was waiting there for me.
To add to my excitement, the sun started to shine just as we pulled onto the beach drive. I could even have had a Tea in the Garden today.
I had ordered this Sadler cube Tea Set online and even though the dimensions were given I still had hope that maybe it was bigger than it was described.
When I first got married 34 years ago everything in my kitchen then was baby blue. Even my counter tops and cabinet knobs were this baby blue and I still favour this pretty colour!
It is not the large cube size that I had hoped for but I love it anyway!

I have displayed it today with some demitasse teacups to make it look larger than it is.
The first wee demitasse is unmarked.
The second one is marked Bavaria.
I found both of these three years ago here at our little gated community Garage Sale for a dollar each.
What treasure are you searching for?
Have a Wonderful Fall Weekend!
See you next time!

Oh, Karen, your baby blue tea set is really pretty! You know I had baby blue in my first home. I kept the blue the whole time my guys were growing up although the hue of blue had deepened over the years. I still love baby blue and I'm always drawn to it. However after decorating with blue for so long, now I'm enjoying more pink and red in our home. I guess I'm entitled after indulging all the men in my life for so many years. Enjoy your new tea set and have a beautiful weekend, my friend.

Dear Karen:
ReplyDeleteThings are looking very blue today at the cottage! I love your new set. I am thrilled that you shared it and that it arrived safely. Thanks so much for sharing.
Hi Karen, I love your beautiful cube tea set! It is just precious! I think the smaller size is so unique. I don't see many vintage teapots that size! Your table looks so lovely with the pretty bouquet and beautiful teacups!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!
Nancy

ReplyDeleteHow lovely - that hue of blue is absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteKaren, I'm so glad you found a tea pot you love and brings back special memories.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for a blush pink teacup to go with the pink Sadler teapot which my aunt gave me.
