Mint Green For Tea Time

Hello My Tea Friends!

The smokey skies have finally cleared and the rain has stopped for now so I have set up a Mint Green Tea in the Garden.

The mint green and gold thistle tea set is Stanley Made in England.

The teapot is a Sadler.

I do hope that you are enjoying the last few weeks of summer.

Thank you for stopping by today.

See you next time!

Roses for Tea Time

Happy Tea Time Friends!

It's a little hazy and smokey outdoors today from the local fires.

The final batch of summer roses are in full bloom.

The china pattern today is Royal Albert's Moss Rose.  Rosina also makes a similar Moss Rose pattern.

The Moss Rose teacups today are different in shape.

Which shape do you prefer?

Can you teacup professionals tell me if this is the Malvern or Avon Shape? I'm thinking Malvern but I'm not sure.

Or do you prefer the Montrose Shape?

I recently passed by two Moss Rose Hampton shaped teacups and now regret it.

Thank you for stopping by.

I hope that you can take time to smell the roses today and of course enjoy a cup of tea.

See you next time!

The Heat is Back!

Welcome Sweet Tea Friends!

The heat has returned!

The temperature is much cooler at the cottage so we escaped to the beach  for a couple of days because the nights are so very warm at home.

I still love Sadler Cube Teapots but I also have a fancy for other Sadler shapes.

I'm loving this recent find.... a vintage mint green Sadler Swirl.

Hubby has said "No more teapots."  So I've taken up golf.  He has been wanting me to for some time.  It's lovely to be outdoors and enjoy the greenery and blue sky and also a wonderful escape from life's stresses.

He's just joking because he knows I can never pass by a pretty teapot or teacup.

These two pretties are exactly the same except for their colours.

The one on the left has a greenish tint background for the daisies and the other has more blue.

Both are Rosina.

Thank you for your visit today!

Wishing you a Wonderful Week!

A Change in the Weather

Hello Tea Lovers!

There has been a change in the weather on the west coast and I'm hoping it doesn't rain today.

I was so so fortunate yesterday when I found this creamy, dreamy Sadler Cube at Goodwill.  It was $9.99 and had just been donated.

Hubby knew I'd found a rare treasure when he saw my face and me clutching it tightly to my heart.

It was a very lucky day for me because I had also found a teacup for my daughter in law's Royal Albert pattern Howarth.  (Not pictured). I found it at Salvation Army for $3.99 for her upcoming birthday present.  Not often do we have this success when thrifting.

The other teapot today is a Pope Gossem Rose Point which is Made in U.S.A.  It caught my eye because  of it's resemblance to Royal Albert's American Beauty pattern. This was my mother's dinner set but unfortunately is not at the cottage so I can't show you the rose similarities.

I love it's rosed shape handle and lid.

This Chintz like teacup is a Sutherland.  Made in England.

The other teacup is one of my favourite dainty Shelley's.

I recently found these summer-ish bobbled birdy cushions at Ross. They helped to update my white Ikea loveseat and brighten the cottage.

Thank you for stopping by today!

See you next time!
