Turquoise Tea Time in the Garden

Welcome to Turquoise Tea Time in the Garden

Hello Dear Friends,
Would you like to sit with me on the loveseat underneath the tree?

Today I have chosen two almost identical Aynsley teacups except that one is a rosy pink and the other one is turquoise blue.

This beautiful teacup is footed and highlighted by gold gilt trim.  It has a dainty border of  intricate and detailed flowers .

The teapot is also footed and has a lovely design of turquoise roses.

Turquoise Cushions

Today I have made orange pekoe tea.  Would you like a poppy seed muffin with your tea?

Turquoise Ruffled pillows!

The pink tea plates are Limoges.

The tiny creamer is made of a turquoise glass.

Thank you for having a Turquoise Tea Time in the Garden with me!

Karen

  3. Your turquoise is all the rage now. Very fun. I am sure you have seen (your link at right) how Carolyn Aiken uses it to decorate too! Your whole setting is lovely in that corner. I couldn't help but notice your corner as that is how my garden began but taking out the back left corner first and starting there - I too had a tree there. I love how you tied all your colors together and the pretty cups and saucers! I will be posting Tea In The Garden in a few hours!

  4. Beautiful turquoise teascape. Aynsley teacups are real beauties. How nice to be able to take tea outdoors. It is too hot here to really enjoy being outside. How I envy you! Happy Tea Day!

  7. Hello Karen,
You have set a beautiful scene for tea! Your out door area is so serene. The wicker settee is perfect and all your pretty pillows and flowers really look lovely together. The two tea cups are sweet and romantic. I love Anysley too, they make some of the most lovely designs. Your Limoges plates too, gorgeous!
I am wishing I could come over and sit with you there...drink tea, eat one of those delicious looking muffins,
and chat away with you : )
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful outdoor tea with us all.
    Hugs,

  12. Hi Karen, I love the tea cups and the wicker furniture and the whole lovely pink and blue outdoor fantasy you've created but I especially love your milk glass hobnail vase. I love hobnail!!! Most of my stuff is the opalescent type but I have some turquoise and pink too. Isn't it just so versatile? It goes with practically everything in any setting, doesn't it. Hugs and I hope you have a lovely week. :)

  16. What a beautiful tea! I love that tea pot and blue cup. Blue seems to be a color you don't see as much as pink. It is all so very pretty! Thank you for joining me for Home Sweet Home!

  18. Karen:
I came back to tell you that 5 years ago I started my Beatrix Potter Cottage Garden in the left back corner of my yard where there was a tree - just like t in the evenings over weeks. The next year (4 years ago) I did the right corner side and 3 years ago I hooked them together back digging out the middle. When I saw your picture I couldn't help but remember! Once again, this tea is so lovely!
