A Favourite Mismatched Set
I found this pretty saucer on one of my treasure hunts and fell in love the pale pink trim.
It's name is "Dorothy".
Recently I found the lovely teacup for $2.00 at an Antique sale. I love the pink tulip shape of the cup.
Matching pale pink impatiens.
The other teacup on the right is a match.
It is a Vintage Elite HM Sutherland Made in England.
The pale pink cup and saucer have a gold border with a gold rim.
Inside is a pink, blue and yellow floral bouquet on a white background.
The saucer is identical to the inside of the teacup.
Thank you viewing "Pretty Pink Matched and Mismatched Teacups"!

Hello Karen,
ReplyDeleteThat is a fine match up! I don't know if you could do better. So glad of your thrifty cup find. And your H&M cup is very stately! Wow, I love the gold trim and the pretty flowers inside. The two cups go well together. You have a lovely white dining room.
Hugs,
Terri

Hi Karen. That's an absolutely brilliant idea. Recently I saw some spectacular little lone plates at the thrift shop. I think I might try to mix and match too. So much fun. Hugs and have a great rest of the week. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Veronica,
DeleteThank you for your comments. It is so much fun to connect with everyone each Tuesday. I hope you are having a great week!

Both pink teacups are pretty, matched or not. I received a teacup for a gift and the cup broke so I am inspired to be on the hunt for something to match the surviving saucer.
ReplyDeleteJudith
Hi Judith,
DeleteThank you so much for your comments. I love hunting for matches too. If I find a cup or saucer that I find beautiful without a mate I buy them now. I hope you find a cup to match your broken one. It is so sad to break treasures - I have done it quite a lot lately.
Take care,
Karen
Ooh, pretty teacups, Karen! I especially like your second one. Hope you're having a lovely week.

Pretty pink teacups-I never worry about matching as long as they co-ordinate as yours do!

Karen:
ReplyDeleteBest regards on retirement - I hope to do the same in the sometime future! The cabinet will be used for DVD's and CD's which seem to multiple! Have a great time at your party!
Hi Karen,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your pretty teacups at my HOME. My son who lives in Vancouver is planning on moving his family back here to the Island within the next few years so we don't plan to go out again. It's too bad we couldn't have met back in January when I was out there.
Have a lovely weekend and Congratulations on your retirement!
Blessings,
Sandi
