Tea by the Japanese Weeping Larch Tree

 Welcome Sweet Friends.
I hope that you are having a wonderful week.

.
Please join me for tea beside the Japanese Weeping Larch tree.  It is very warm today so I have poured us some pink lemonade to refresh us before our hot tea. You can see how scorched the grass is from the heat.

If you are too warm, please do sit under the umbrella ~ it will give you some shade and escape from the intense sunshine!

Unfortunately my pink roses are no longer in bloom so I have cut some pale pink geraniums from my hanging baskets to blend with the table covering today.

I have made some cream cheese and cucumber mini bites as our teeny snack.

Don't worry - it's twelve grain bread!

For our sweets we will have pound cake with a dash of whip cream and a raspberry on top!

Such a tasty tiny treat!

The golfers are wondering what all of the commotion is about.

Perhaps we can invite them next time.

I am once again using one of my most treasured teacups.

I love the flowers on the inner cup.

Do you like pink, ruffles and lace?

Thank you for joining me for

Have a happy week!

Take care,
Karen

  1. Hello Karen,
What a lovely spot for tea. I don't think I've seen a weeping larch before. We have hundreds of larches in our back yard but they all stand very tall and straight.
I do love pink, ruffles, and lace and the table looks so pretty! Cucumber cheese sandwiches are a favourite here and we like pound cake too. A perfect tea for a Summer day. We have been getting lots of rain here so our grass is very lush and green. Thank you for coming to tea with me and enjoy your week.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  2. How lovely to have tea outdoors! The tree is so interesting for I haven't seen a larch tree and it is so very graceful. The pretty flowered tablecloth is the perfect basis for the tea party. I am so tempted by your treats on the two tiered serving plates. The special Crown Staffordshire teacup and saucer is a beauty. Thanks for sharing your tea and lemonade!

  4. A nice setting for tea outside, I would sit under the umbrella for sure. This year with all the rain is the first time our community has green grass, usually it looks like yours.

  5. When I first saw your post, I thought you have the largest yard I have ever seen. Now I know that it is a golf course. It is beautiful, you are a lucky lady. Love your garden tea. Blessings, Martha

  6. Hi Karen,
you made a spectacular setting outside. What a fun to see all the wonderful roses everywhere, on the tablecloth, cushions and on the china. This is really a wonderful table and great idea to set it that way. And all the yummy treats! Thank you so much for sharing it.
    Best greetings, Johannna
