Hello Special Tea Time Friends!
The sun is shining at the cottage and it is exactly what my body was craving.
I have had the cold and sore throat for a couple of days now and it is amazing how a sunny day can make you feel so much better.
Another thing that of course will soothe my throat and make me feel better is a hot cup of orange pekoe tea. My favourite. I believe Red Rose Tea is not available in the United States, at least I have never seen it. It really is a lovely tea but isn't any hot tea such a comfort when you are feeling under the weather?
I'm also enjoying a Walker's Highland Oatcake from Scotland with a bit of butter. My grandmother made her own but I find this brand delicious.
As you know Summer is my favourite season and I do love pink decor so I find it challenging to decorate with the fall colours; however I am trying my best to embrace fall and bring a bit of this autumn season into the cottage.
Do you believe it? Mr. Cottage is out golfing on this October day and so I can putter around and play with my pretties and sip my tea in solitude.
Hubby loves to have the T.V. loud now since he has become a bit deaf and of course he enjoys the sports shows and noisy car races. So the cottage is very quiet at the moment.
The pale pink flowery teacup is Sutherland Made in England.
The crazed teapot is an Arthur Wood.
Thank you for your visit today.
I hope that you are staying healthy and also embracing fall too!
See you next time!
Karen

Dear Karen:
ReplyDeleteI love your photos there of such a lovely home. I hope you are feeling better from your cold. That's no fun for sure. I love your wall shelf with what looks like Friendly Village. Your teapot is really sweet too with the wonderful "loved" indicator or crazing. I hope your week is wonderful and "well"!
Your pretty tea time will definitely banish those germs away!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers, the pink flowery tea cup, the teapot, the colours...all is beauty for my eyes!

I hope you'll start feeling better soon, Karen. Yes, tea does soothe us, doesn't it? Your teacup and teapot are both so pretty, and look lovely with your mums. I have bought Red Rose tea here in Texas, and did like it very much. Have a restful week, sweet friend.
ReplyDeletePretty home! Pretty tea set! I have not seen Red Rose tea but would be perfect for me (I am a Rose!).
ReplyDeleteI can't do fall colors at all. PINK for me year around. Ha!!

Wonderful decorations and tea service. We have a brand of Red Rose Tea in the US - but in a very different box - so not sure if it is the same or not - but it is a very good tea also.
ReplyDeleteYour teacup is so pretty, Karen! I too love pink and it's hard to embrace Autumn when your heart is longing for warm weather and pink. But I try! My hubby drinks nothing but Red Rose. I drink every other kind; especially chai because I love the spice. Your cabinet looks lovely with your Friendly Village display. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Karen, how lovely! I've only see the Red Rose tea in British import shops. What a perfect brand for photos of your rose china!
ReplyDeleteYour Arthur Wood tea pot is so pretty. Also your beautiful chandelier is gorgeous
ReplyDeleteI am always wanting to try new teas and seems I have gone through all I can find locally.
I use to order a tea from London named Summer Pudding a dark tea, lots berries I loved it.
Hi Karen, your tea time is so pretty with your pink colors! Love your teacup and teapot! I have been trying to delay the fall colors too, but with our weather cold and rainy I guess it is time to get out the brown transferware! I have had Red Rose tea and it is very good! It is hard to find it here though. Hope you are feeling better!
