Birthday Gifts

Hello My Tea Friends!

Another birthday has come and gone for me but I wanted to share my favourite gifts.

The beautiful hot pink and white long stemmed roses were from my dear friend Kelly.
I just love them!

The Royal Albert Seniorita teacup and candy dish were from my Sweet Sis!
Thank you Dianne!

I have been searching for one for years and do you believe it?  Sweet Sis found it at a garage sale.

I once saw the matching teapot for $60 at a thrift store and regretfully passed it by.

It looks just like black lace, doesn't it?

I also bought myself a couple of Birthday/Christmas gifts.  Have you ever done this too?

I had been looking at this lovely Arthur Wood teapot for some time and finally decided to Make an Offer and won it at $12!

My mother used to have one something like it and  so it is very special to me.  Love it's gold gilt!

I had also been looking at this pretty deep, rich pink tea set for over a year and finally had a weak moment when it also became.... Make an Offer.  (Sorry I can't tell you how much - hubby may see).  Lol. I know I'm a bad girl!

It is the large size Sadler Cube teapot.

But... I am still on the search for a lighter pink one too.
Then my collection will be complete. (I hope).

Thank you for stopping by today!

See you next time.

A Happy Birthday Teacup!

Hello Tea Lovers!

Last year on my birthday, my daughter-in-law's mother gifted me with a Royal Albert Happy Birthday teacup.

Thank you Lanny, I love it!

I had never seen one before.

I had seen Happy Anniversary cups and saucers but never a Happy Birthday.

It's gold trim matches so perfectly with my
Royal Albert Val D'or teapot.

I think I will enjoy a quiet cup of tea in it on my birthday this weekend.

Have you ever seen a Happy Birthday teacup?

Have a Wonderful Weekend Tea Friends!

See you next time!

Just Two Teacups!

Hello Tea Friends!

It's been a busy week but I wanted to share
Just Two Teacups!

I have had the one on the left for about 3 years and chose it because it matched the cottage tones.

I was thrilled yesterday when I went into a little shop in Bellingham and found it's almost twin for $2.00.

The shape and rich colour of the teacups are identical and the only difference is the gold patterns.

Both are Royal Grafton Fine Bone China
Made in England.

Don't you love finding treasures?

Thank you for stopping by today!

Castles for Tea Time

Hello Dear Tea Time Friends!

Do you love Castles too?

I have been gradually finding some Johnson Brother's Old Britain Castle and Alfred Meakin Medieval Castles pieces.

Every one features a different castle.

The teapot is Johnson Brother's Donnington Castle.

The creamer is Goodrich Castle.

The lidless sugar bowl is Buderham Castle.

The teacup is  Caernarvon Castle.

The saucer is Alfred Meakin's Rhuddlan Castle. (When examining the name I just found out they are not a matching set. Lol.)

I keep all of my transferware china at the cottage.

I love the detail on all of the handles.

I have found one piece at a time while thrifting and treasure them all.  Thankfully they do blend together nicely.

The tea plates are Mason's Vista.

Thank you for stopping by today!

See you next time!
