Last week my dear friend Dawn returned from her holiday at Okanagan Falls and gave me this gorgeous Sadler "Ye Daintee Ladyee" teapot that she had found at an antique shop there. (Thank you Bernideen for letting me know it's correct name - I thought it was called a Crinoline Lady).
She didn't know that I had always wanted one.
It is the most beautiful shade of blue.
Thank you my dear friend. I will treasure it forever!

ReplyDeleteI do love your English "Ye Daintee Ladyee Teapot"! They are very collectible and a real treasure. I found mine in of all places - West Virginia. I do love your sweet teatime today. Your Hydrangeas are so very lovely. I don't think it gets as hot where you are as it does here so they should be very happy for that!

ReplyDeleteYou asked about the teapot and it is an Arthur Woods. They do seem similar to Ellsgreve's. The other one is a Sadler like you said. I love these old sturdy teapots - well I guess I love all teapots! Just like you!
