A Treasured Gift

Last week my dear friend Dawn returned from her holiday at Okanagan Falls and gave me this gorgeous Sadler "Ye Daintee Ladyee" teapot that she had found at an antique shop there.  (Thank you Bernideen for letting me know it's correct name - I thought it was called a Crinoline Lady).

She didn't know that I had always wanted one.

It is the most beautiful shade of blue.

Thank you my dear friend.  I will treasure it forever!

  1. Dear Karen:
I do love your English "Ye Daintee Ladyee Teapot"! They are very collectible and a real treasure. I found mine in of all places - West Virginia. I do love your sweet teatime today. Your Hydrangeas are so very lovely. I don't think it gets as hot where you are as it does here so they should be very happy for that!

  2. What a dainty and beautiful teapot, unique!Loved your pretty teacups too!Hugs!

  3. What a wonderful addition to your Sadler teapot collection! Your friend has excellent taste!

  4. Karen, I've never seen a teapot like that! So pretty, but how does that little spout work?

  5. What a beautiful and unique teapot! I love it! I never find pretty teapots when in the hunt.

  8. That is a wonderful lift! The Daintee aladyes don't stick around in my shop, and are pretty hard to find. Very cool! Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea

  9. Dear Karen:
You asked about the teapot and it is an Arthur Woods. They do seem similar to Ellsgreve's. The other one is a Sadler like you said. I love these old sturdy teapots - well I guess I love all teapots! Just like you!
