Serena for Tea Time

1

 Hello Dear Tea Friends

I hope that you are all staying  safe and well.

I thought a Serena Tea Time may help improve your spirits.  Pink china always makes me happy.

I am so pleased that the hot pink roses are still blooming in the front garden to make our tea time cheery. ❤

I was so fortunate to find another Serena Royal Albert Teacup and tea plate at our local Salvation Army this week. I am gradually adding to my collection of this pretty pattern.

This is my favourite shape of Royal Albert teacup.  I believe it is called Malvern.

This shape has the roses on the inner cup.

What is your favourite shape of Royal Albert teacup?

I found these pretty pink macaroons at Winners/Home Sense this week.  They are very sweet and rich but so tasty.  I had always wanted to try them and so I splurged.

Do you have a certain china pattern that you are searching for?

Thank you for stopping by today.

Take care Dear Tea Friends,

Karen

A Busy Summer!

Hello Sweet Tea Friends

It has been a busy summer and I have lots of news to share.

My sweet daughter is engaged and we are so thrilled.

Last month I had a small family get together to celebrate Rachel and John's Engagement.  (Unfortunately Covid limits all large social gatherings.)

It was a beautiful and warm day and so exciting.

It was such fun to decorate.

I tried to social distance the seating arrangements as much as possible.

It was so very hot outside that I set up the dining room table for food.
(I wish I'd taken a pic of the food.  Lol. - too busy)

The Happy Couple

Me and the wee grand children.  I love them so! 💜

Grandpa and our precious grandson playing in the fountain.

The Family 💗

My son and his wife and children all dressed in their matching clothes from Indonesia.

Not only have we been busy celebrating but we are also building a shed.  I have always wanted a She-Shed.  It hopefully will eventually look like one on the outside ~ but on the inside it will store all of hubby's tools.  I will post more pics as it continues to progress.

Hubby also added this colonial screen door to keep the mosquitoes out.

This summer has been a very different time for us all.  We stayed home because we were unable to cross the border to go to the cottage in Birch Bay ~ so keeping busy has helped us to occupy our time constructively.

Last night my kind and darling daughter surprised met with these gorgeous pink roses.  They are my favourite colour. 💝

Isn't family is so very important during these difficult times?

I hope that you are also able to see your family and friends during this challenging pandemic.

Stay Safe and Healthy My Tea Friends.

Hot Pink for Spring!

Hello Sweet Tea Friends!

I hope you are staying safe and well amidst our pandemic times.

I've been keeping busy planting flowers and hubby has been rebuilding our backyard fence.

My hot pink roses are just starting to bloom.

I've decided to add a lot of bright pink cheery flowers to the garden this year.

Every time it rains I rush outside to bring in my petunias.

The hot pink rhododendrons are now in full bloom

I'm enjoying them inside as well!

My dear daughter and her boyfriend bought me these gorgeous yellow tulips for Mother's Day.

My daughter is going to university to become a teacher but also works at Costco.

My dear son bought me this lovely Mom plant.

He is also an essential worker - a very busy produce manager at a local grocery franchise.

I'd like to share the wonderful words of our admired Health Minister Dr. Bonnie Henry from British Columbia.
She concludes her daily Covid-19 updates with these special words:

Be Kind
Be Calm and
Be Safe!

Please take care my dear friends!
