A Needlepoint Tea

Welcome Sweet Friends to "A Needlepoint Tea" in the Garden.

Today I am using one of my favourite teasets:  Royal Albert's "Needlepoint".

It has a black background surrounded by pink roses and greenery.

When we remodelled our kitchen about two years ago, we added black granite counter tops.  I wanted to add some black accents in the china cabinet and when I spotted this rosy teaset at an antique store in Lynden I thought it was a good match.

The tiny needlepoint pillows and needlepoint footstool were my mother-in-law's.

I found the black wrought iron chairs at Salvation Army for $12.00 each.

The table and bird cage were both from Ross.

Thank you for visiting " A Needlepoint Tea" in the Garden.

Have a wonderful week!
Karen

  2. Hi Karen: I love your kitchen. You don't see cabinets in that cherry wood. I love them. My cabinets are done in oak and I wish I had done them in that cherry wood. Love the tea cups you shared today. I think tea cups with black colors are just stunning. I love visiting your blog. Have a wonderful week. Blessings, Martha

  5. I like the pattern of your new china and with the black in it, opens up many decorating possibilities, as you have done. Very striking with the black bistro set.

  9. Good morning Karen,
I love this pattern and you are a lucky girl to have a set like that. I love the cake plates with their fancy handles and of course, that darling teapot. I can't believe how fabulous it looks on the black bistro set complimented by those magnificent needlepoint pillows. Beautiful tea post!!
