The last few days at the cottage have been rainy, cloudy and windy. Hubby is off for the week and was hoping to golf but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate so far.
Today I am hoping the rain will stay away long enough for us to share tea near the colourful flowers.
As you can see the impatiens have not yet been affected by the cooler weather.

Yesterday I found this colourful floral teacup at Aurora Antique Pavillion in Edmonds, Washington.
I had been searching for one for a long time since I had the luncheon plate. Long ago I had just the saucer but when trying to clear out my cupboards, I gave it away. I am one of those people who always regrets parting with pretty mismatched China pieces.
I find the bright variety of flowers so pleasing.
The teacup and luncheon plate are a Crown Staffordshire, Made in England.
The luncheon plate is stamped with the Birks store emblem. It is a well-known Vancouver jewellery store. I am not sure if it still sells China.
If you are feeling chilly, please do wrap up in the soft cashmere blanket.
Although I am sad to say good-bye to summer on September the 21st
I am looking forward to the beautiful colours of fall!
The official first day of autumn is September the 22nd.
I want to thank Bernideen for hosting "Tea in the Garden Tuesday" and inspiring me to participate all summer long.
I really enjoyed visiting such lovely outdoor Blogspots!
Thank you so much Bernideen!
I had such fun and look forward to doing it all again next year!
I hope that you will also enjoy the colours of autumn as they fall upon us!

ReplyDeleteKaren, Your teapot is so beautiful. Love your teacup trio too! And the flowers - well, indeed, they do make for a colorful end of summer tea at the cottage!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful teapot also the cup and saucer and plate. I was thinking about the saucer you got rid of- the chances of finding just a cup are very rare but sometimes I hang really pretty saucers on the wall with a tiny wire that stretches like from Tripar. Your post is lovely and thank you for your kind comments about Tea In The Garden which now has switched to Friends Sharing Tea(inside version).
ReplyDeleteHappy autumn! Your tea set is very romantic. I love your new tea cup with so many flowers. Your post is so lovely...i adore it

Your pink and white tea vignette is sweet, and I scrolled back to admire the white metal plant stand again.
