April Rose

 At the Castle

Today I would like to feature my dinner set named after this month:

Mikasa April Rose

The table is set. The sun is shining in the dining room window.  Come and have dinner with us:

The tablecloth is a lacey linen.

Mikasa Rose Teacup
I loved the pink roses, white background and embossed pattern. Unfortunately it is discontinued and difficult to find.

Mikasa Rose Teapot
The lid and shape of this teapot is so unusual.  I just love the scallooped top!

Mikasa Cream and Sugar

The sugar bowl resembles the teapot.

Mikasa April Rose Place Setting

The salt and pepper has just a tiny rose bud!

Mikasa Rose Heart-Shaped Dishes

Mikasa Rose Basket

Do you like April Rose?

Thanks for visiting the Castle!

Happy Friday tomorrow!

  2. Hello Martha,
I was sooo excited to see your reply! You really are famous!!! My sister and I admire you very much and regularly visit your blog. Your templates are amazing and I hope that one day I will be able to make my blogspot as attractive as yours. I didn't know that you had April Rose too. I have never seen your April Rose in your posts. I do think it is a beautiful pattern too.

I have been trying to post a blog daily but now I have a problem with my laptop (where all of my pictures are saved) and so I must wait until I can get it repaired to post again. I would love to join Teacup Tuesday and I hope that I can figure out how to do that. Thank you for responding and encouraging me. You are so kind! It really is exciting to have this new blogging adventure and to talk to such a wonderful person as yourself! Thanks again. Sincerely,
    Karen

  6. I love my April Rose - It is the pattern I registered for my wedding. My Aunt had a shower for me and it was the first time she has used her set (an old fashioned set called Candlewick). So I established a habit of using it on birthdays, holidays and sometimes Sunday Dinners. I was also a great chance to teach my kids manners.
I LOVE April Rose and if anyone knows how I can find a teapot, I would be happy to find out how!
