Welcome Sweet Friends to
"Matching Orphaned Rosy Cups and Saucers"!
Today I am once again in the mood for pink and thought it would be fun to match some favourite orphaned cups and saucers.
Only one of the teacups has a matching saucer.
The first set has a coalport teacup and
an Aynsley saucer.
I love the inner cup of the coalport .
The second orphaned set I have put together is an
Adderley teacup
and a Royal Grafton saucer.
Bountiful gold gilt on the saucer accents the pretty pink background.
I love the large rose and rosebud.
The only matched cup and saucer that I'm sharing today is a treasure that always sits so proudly in the china cabinet.
It is an Aynsley.
The new to me Sadler tea set was a recent purchase from Value Village. Did you know if you fill your Value Village card with stamps that you get 30% off? So the tea set was actually $24.99 with my discount. I don't receive the pensioners discount yet. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing.
I fell in love with the teapot shape and of course the pale pink roses.
Thank you for visiting
"Matching Orphaned Rosy Cups and Saucers!"
Have a wonderful week!

Thank you for your beautiful post.

Isn't mixing and matching fun? Love all your pink and your new Sadler set is gorgeous. Happy Tea Day!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteYour teacups and saucers look so pretty together. I do love pink!! Your Sadler teapot and cream and sugar are just lovely. What a bargain for such a pretty set! Your thumbnail did show up. Linky is really slow revealing the thumbnails this week for some reason. Thank you for sharing your pretty treasures at Tea Time and have a beautiful day.
Blessings,
Sandi
I love mix and match! What pretty colours and oh! the tea pot!!!!! So happy to be visiting . Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteAll of your orphans look perfectly happy with the matches you've made! I especially love your 'new-to-you' tea set!! So pretty!!
ReplyDeleteKaren, what a great thing, matching up the orphan tea cups and saucers. It would be such a shame to not be able to use them. Don't you love Sadler Tea Sets!
ReplyDeleteThe "sets" look so nice together - I always think it is sad to have only half of a set - the cup or the saucer do not seem as special alone.....you did a great job of matching them! Thank you for sharing this. :)
ReplyDeleteMixing and matching is fun, keeps those orphans from being unused. The Sadler tea set is nice, I've given many loads away for Value Village but have yet to go inside one to see what's available. I'm sure many great things are passing me by.
ReplyDeleteThose look darling. I really love mix and match - right up my alley! That teapot and cream and sugar are amazing so you really got a treasure! I always look forward to your post!
ReplyDeletelately i have been looking at mismatched teacups also, I find it very special and cheering to be able to mix and match tea cup and saucer.
ReplyDeleteI love your pink collection of mix and match teacups.
Dear Karen,
ReplyDeleteThey all looked perfect together. Great job saving those orphans and giving them new life. The tea set~what a pretty one and what a bargain. Pinks and roses make a girl happy!

Karen, I love your cups how they don't match but they do. It is really charming to pair them like that. You also have a beautiful teapot also!
