Mint Green for March

Happy March Dear Friends,

Welcome to
"Mint Green for March"

Today I wanted to share two of my favourite teacups. I am not sure if you have seen them before. (Yes, I am becoming a little forgetful!)

They are both Aynsley and a beautiful mint green colour.

They usually sit upon a teacup stand with my other precious Aynsley cups.

One has pretty pink flowers on the inner cup.  The other is plain.

I love the shape of both the cups.

Sorry this pic went sideways.

I bought this sweet wee teapot spoon at a lovely shop in
Mount Vernon.

Also, on the weekend I was pleased to find this lacy and frilly lampshade at Salvation Army for $12.99.  The floor lamp was once my mother's and I have been looking for the perfect fit.

Do you think the crystals on the lamp add some bling to the room?

The teapot I have shared before.  It is a Lefton Music Box Made in Japan.

Thank you for visiting me today for
"Mint Green for March"!

Have a marvelous week!
Karen

  2. Love your pretty green tea setting! Lovely! I love Aynsley as well. Thought you might like to know that your cup with the flowers was done by Aynsley for the coronation of George VI in 1937. If you look closely at the design, there are roses for England, thistles for Scotland and shamrocks for Ireland...the United Kingdom! A special design! Love the linens and teapot...they all make such a lovely setting for tea! Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

  5. LOVE the mint green, Karen! I do love the shape of Aynsley teacups. I especially like the plain mint green featuring the flowers of the UK. on the inside. I have the same turquoise one you have sitting on top of your teacup stand. Your teapot is gorgeous too and I always enjoy seeing it. Thank you for sharing and coming to tea with me today. Oh, by the way, my Spring Tea Party is on the 17th of March not next week. Have a beautiful day.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  12. Hello Karen,
I love both your Aynsleys! I love this corset shape. I just showed one of these off myself. The cup with the gold swirls is lovely! And, I am fascinated with the choice of flowers inside the other cup...roses with thistle and clover! Roses for England, thistles for Scotland and clover for Ireland. That is a special cup!
    Hugs,
    Terri

  15. Hi Karen, it's been a whirlwind week for me here and so I missed Tuesday, but wanted to pop in and say hi and tell you that your lovely home looks like something out of the pages of my favourite Victoria magazine. Beautiful and romantic. :)
