Welcome My Dear Teacup Friends to
"A Miniature Tea Time!"
A few weeks ago hubby and I stopped in at Bellingham's Thrift and Gift and they had 50 percent off furniture.
They had these two miniature ironstone chairs for $20 each but with the 50 percent off it would be $20 for the pair!
Since I already had the matching table, hubby agreed it was meant to be. (We actually loaded them into his old red corvette convertible).
So I went to work painting the pair of miniature ironstone chairs to match the white ironstone table.
Now to our miniature tea time....
I found these demitasse transferware teacups a few years ago in an Antique Mall in Mount Vernon. There were three little collectible teacups with a matching large coffee pot.

I wanted to share my vintage Mason's Vista Demitasse with you too.
I love how transferware blends so nicely together with other patterns.
Every week I continue to stop at the roadside to buy fresh Dahlias in Lynden, Wa.
Thank you for visiting me for
"A Miniature Tea Time!"
See you next week!

ReplyDeleteHi Karen, your iron set looks just like mine but I believe yours is older, for it has the bar connecting to the legs. I need to paint mine and make them look pretty like yours! Nice demitasse set and tea time setting.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,
gina
Those chairs are an amazing find-especially at that price! They looks so beautiful after your wonderful paint job. I'm a big fan of demitasse teacups. Your Vista pattern is quite lovely and hard to find online.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting! ~Nora
What a lucky, and meant to be find with those darling chairs, Karen! I'm sure it was a lot of hard work to re paint them, but it worked out so well. It is perfect for your tea time today with your lovely transferware. Yes, I love how the patterns blend together, too. Happy tea day!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable, Karen! Love the chairs and red transferware! No doubt it was a lot of work to paint those chairs but oh my, they look fabulous now with the table. I have the same Masons Vista teacup. I do love how all the patterns go so well together. That is the charming thing about transferware. Thanks for sharing this darling tea time with us and have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
What a grand find for the chairs are so classic for the garden. Your white paint is the perfect choice and so pretty. Your miniature tea set is so lovely on the smal table. The red tranferware is one of my favorite choices for china. the one cup Sadler teapot is so sweet.
ReplyDeletePlease, come take a peek at my Lemon Zest post this week!
Have a good week!

ReplyDeleteSo glad that you found those fabulous chairs and that they were able to fit into your hubby's vehicle! Your red transferwares blend together beautifully!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful chairs at a great price! They look so perfect for tea time! Of course I love your red transferware! A couple of months ago I found a Mason's brown transferware little teacup and saucer. A first for me! Now I'm on the hunt for more!

ReplyDeleteYour transferware is really lovely. You also did a great job on your iron pieces and I know that detail makes for a lot of work! Now you can just sit and have a cup of tea and enjoy it all! Lovely!
Gorgeous Karen! The chairs and table are wonderful, and what fun memories. I think red transferware is perfect whatever the size, shape or pattern! Lovely! And the Dahlias? are gorgeous! Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Hi Karen:
ReplyDeleteI am back to answer your question with a firm NO! Ha! I don't miss my shop at all. We had to go over there today to remove a table we took to a consignment shop and a few things to donate to the thrift store. I couldn't believe how big the place looked empty. Works for me! I love being H O M E!!!
Karen, I must tell you that I am drooling over your table and chairs. I have been looking for some for decades with no luck. Congratulations on such an awesome deal. They look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday. Your post is being featured on my Pink Saturday post this week as "the one that caught my eye". Thanks for sharing.♥
