A Daisy Tea
Welcome Sweet Friends,
Please join me for "A Daisy Tea Under The Tree" today.
The big old pine tree in the cottage backyard garden will provide us with a quiet and shady spot ~ just perfect for us to relax, visit and have tea.
I am using my Royal Albert Val D'or teaset.
It is plain white with a gold trim.
We found several Val D'or pieces at a little antique shop in Cloverdale, B.C.
We were pleased to discover the cream and sugar at the Croatian Cultural Centre in Vancouver, B.C. at the Retro and Design monthly Antique Fair.
Beloved Hubby purchased the teapot for me on Mother's Day last year.
He found this discontinued pattern at the Fort Langley Antique Mall.
I was overjoyed!
The collectible fenton rippled marigold carnival glass vase holding the bright daisies was previously my mother-in-law's.
Would you like some fresh raspberries and chocolate cheesecake with your cup of tea?
The cheery daisies are from the cottage back garden.
The table topper is a battenburg lace with some
Ruffled and Vintage Lace.
Thank you for having "A Daisy Tea Under The Tree" with me!
Karen

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely sylvan spot this is! I love your daisies and your elegant Royal Albert. I haven't seen that pattern of Carnival Glass vase, and it is such a great color compliment to the white and red of the raspberries. So pretty! Thanks so much for sharing and linking with Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

ReplyDeleteHello Karen,
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful spot to have tea and I love daisies! "Don't you think daisies are the friendliest flower?" I love the Val'Dor tea set which my auntie has. My uncle bought her many pieces of it which is why she has passed most of her Rose Chintz on to me. Your linens are simply dreamy and I would love to join you there in that serene little spot. Thanks for coming to tea with me.
Blessings,
Sandi
Ciao Karen!Come stai? Bacioni,Rosetta
ReplyDeleteA pretty tea outside and I felt like I was sitting at your table under the tree. I love your pretty carnival glass vase. Enjoy your week.

Karen, that looks so lovely, and I love the simplicity of daisies in the orange vase. I got some daisies the other day and put them in a vintage yellow vase similar to yours! (Great minds...huh?) Hope you're doing well with the renos and not feeling like killing anyone yet. I'm so glad the lovely weather is continuing in Vancouver. Here too. That reminds me, I must ask Chloe to water the garden. :) Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to join you for tea under the shady tree with crisp white linens. I have the RA coffee pot that matches your set, as I was never able to find the coffee pot in Lavender Rose to match my teapot.
ReplyDeleteThe cheesecake looks delicious to have with tea.
Judith
